This Adoption Agency has been rated ‘OUTSTANDING’ by Ofsted and they are currently seeking a Senior Practitioner for the Assessment Team on a full time (35 hours per week) and permanent basis. 

The primary role of the Senior Practitioner is to assist the work of the Assessment Team Managers in managing the adoption assessment process. Duties of the Role:

Undertaking a limited number of suitability assessments from to Adoption Panel, Annual Reviews, support at the time of matching and post placement reports when required.

Collating and reporting on the feedback from prospective adopters of the process and making recommendations for service improvement.

Consultation with sessional workers undertaking assessments from to Adoption Panel, including proof reading assessments and reports.

Supporting the Assessment Team Manager, with the recruitment of Sessional Social Workers when required.

Support the Assessment Team to deliver training to sessional workers, both established and new to the Agency.

Updating Assessment forms and materials as requested.

This role will suit an experienced Supervising Social Worker who is keen to work for an Independent Fostering Agency with a supportive and compassionate approach to securing positive outcomes for looked after children. We are seeking Supervising Social Workers who are informed by therapeutic fostering approaches and passionate about therapeutic practices.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Completing Form F assessments of foster carers.
• Holding a low caseload in the East Midlands area
• To offer support and supervision to carers
• To develop and maintain positive working relationships between children, carers and professionals.
• Monitor and safeguard the young person at all times

The Candidate

• The ideal candidate for this position will have some experience of working within the Independent Fostering Sector on a permanent or interim basis.
• You will also possess a good understanding of the fostering legislation including The National Minimum Standards.
• Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate the experience, skills and knowledge necessary to ensure a high quality service for looked after children.

Financial Details

In this position you will mainly be assessing applicants applying to adopt children from overseas countries. This will involve completing PARs and working to deadlines, whilst being flexible in meeting the needs of the applicants and the agency. Additionally, assessors take responsibility for needed post-approval work, as available to do so.

In order to be successful in this role, you must be HCPC registered and have:
· Extensive and recent experience in adoption social work
· Substantial experience completing PAR assessments
· A high standard of report writing
· Willingness to travel across London
· Self-Motivation and ability to work to deadlines

A growing, established, independent fostering agency is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable and skilled Supervising Social Worker to join their Team in Stratford on a full time, permanent basis.

This IFA is part of an organisation that has been inspected six times by Ofsted and been rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' each time.

General Responsibilities:

• To act as the named Social Worker to provide supervision and support to designated foster carers.
• To carry a caseload of up to 15 carers.
• First responsibility will be to the child placement, even though you will not have case management responsibility to the child.
• To ensure that the carer is informed of, and fully complies with, all standards, policies and guidance, including safe caring guidelines, agreed by vision.
• Provide appropriate support to the carers enabling them to achieve the fostering task.
• To make initial visits to the potential carers and undertake competency based Assessments of applicants and prepare a report on their suitability using the BAAF form F format and present for approval to Fostering Panel.
• To update Form F for foster carers you are supervising.
• To participate in training of staff, foster carers and potential foster carers
• To participate in Out of Hours (EDT) telephone rota service to carers

You will be an HCPC registered qualified social worker, with previous post qualifying fostering social work experience, within either an IFA or Local Authority setting.

You will be a car owner / driver and be willing and able to work flexible hours that will involve some evenings and weekends.

A medium sized, family feel IFA in the South West are looking for an experienced and passionate supervising social worker to join their team. This role will suit an experienced children’s / fostering social worker who is keen to further develop their career in the independent fostering sector, working for an Independent Fostering Agency that is continuously growing and improving it’s service.
The caseload will be between 6 and 12 so very manageable and you will have a big impact on the regions development plans.
This role will be home based, but there will be an office Plymouth region and good regional support. The region you will be covering is central Devon with a good focal point being around the Okehampton area.
Duties will include:
• Support and supervision to a small existing case load of carers in the region – based across Suffolk and Cambridgeshire
• Further regional development, recruiting and assessing potential carers
• Carrying out of Form F assessments and initial visits
• The presentation of applications to the fostering panel
• Delivery of training to carers
• Regular visits to carers and the young people in their care
• Reporting and recording on foster carers performance, needs and on placement progress

You will be:
• HCPC registered with considerable post qualification experience ideally within LAC and Fostering.
• Have access to a vehicle for some travel around the Mid Devon region.
