There is no requirement for you to drive for this position. Furthermore, the MASH is a non-operational role so there is no direct client contact. This is a very exciting role, it is very different from standard Adult Social Worker posts, as you will not be undertaking visits and will be mainly office based.

Duties and Requirements:

- Routinely work with multi-agency referrals that present particular complexities arising from e.g. legal issues, statutory requirements, disputes within families, care and support needs, mental health concerns, DoLS issues, criminal behaviour.
- To have experience with and be able to prioritise and manage a duty Inbox of partner agency referrals including Police, Ambulance, Fire Service, Trading Standards, Children’s services, Health, Provider agencies.
- Have comprehensive understanding and experience of working with relevant legislation in Adult Social Work settings including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Mental Health Act.
- Be clear on professionally accountability as a qualified social worker, including adhering to sharing information legislation and relevant protocols to ensure appropriate sharing of information in a multi-agency environment.
- Are professionally competent and have experience of dealing with complex safeguarding cases.
- Have excellent risk assessment skills; be skilled at analysis of complex information within referrals.
