Interim Project Manager – Living Well – Norwich Norfolk

Aurora Resourcing are recruiting for an Interim Project Manager – Living Well, who will be responsible for the delivery and co-ordination of all activities within the Living Well: 3 Conversations project (in accordance with departmental project management guidelines) to ensure delivery of agreed outputs on time and within budget. The Living Well: 3 Conversations project is nearing the end of its Evaluation and Planning Phase and requires an experienced Project Manager to coordinate the completion of the planning work and implement a phased roll-out.

Promoting Independence strategy– is shaped by the Care Act with its call to action across public services to prevent, reduce and delay the demand for social care. The scale of change needed to implement this strategy is challenging. There is an established a programme with four key areas of focus and multiple projects within each of these.

1. Living Well: 3 conversations
2. Transforming learning disability services
3. Integrated short-term support
4. Technology enabled services

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver the project to agreed business requirements, agreed timescales and budget at pace and in line with the Promoting Independence management standards. Take responsibility for creating and motivating the project team as appropriate and ensure effective and timely delivery of activities.

• Provide leadership to the project team and the two Project Officers responsible for implementing key activities, including sound people management skills, data analytical skills and business process re-engineering techniques, required to achieve objectives. This will encompass working with customers, providers, partners and stakeholders, as well as management of project team resources making maximum use of deployed resources through effective and efficient matrix management skills.

• Ensure effective project communications to ensure all stakeholders receive timely, accurate and appropriate information and are able to provide their input to the project. Production of regular highlight reports on status and completion of deliverables

• Identify risks and issues and recommend control measures and actions. Work with the Promoting Independence Programme Manager and other Promoting Independence colleagues to ensure alignment of project priorities and interdependencies with other projects


Requirements

• Must be a PRINCE2 practitioner
• Must have extensive experience of project management or equivalent transferable skills and experience
• Significant experience working within a complex business transformation programme
• Some experience of working in local government

£425 per day
